The Variovac antistatic pipes were specially developed for use in central vacuum cleaning systems and have the property of not being electrostatically conductive.
In contrast to the general HT pipes, which are also often used for this purpose.
The movement of pure gases or gas mixtures generates little or no charge. However, if an air flow contains solid particles or liquid droplets, these and all affected system parts and objects can become charged. Processes that can lead to significant electrostatic charges are pneumatic transport, the release of compressed gas with particles, the escape of liquid carbon dioxide, the use of industrial vacuum cleaners or spray painting.
Such processes can lead to igniting spark discharges, brush discharges, propagating brush discharges or material cone discharges.
